Vivo! Touch User Guide

Note: This process is not required if you are using continuous media. It applies only to
media with die cuts.

When using die-cut labels, at least 1/2” (13 mm) of solid media must first enter the
printer. Otherwise, small strips of label material may detach and remain inside the
printer.

Refer to the following illustration as you evaluate the cut.

Green Area - The cut is acceptable.

Red Area - The cut is not acceptable. It would result in a narrow media strip
entering the printer.

The top portion of the label roll will not be visible in the feeder, but you can
perform a simple calculation to ensure at least 1/2” (13 mm) is at the start of the roll.

When you touch

Load

on the touchscreen, a portion of the first label is cut off.

Measure the length of the cut portion. Then subtract that length from the total label
length. If the difference is greater than 1/2” (13mm), the cut is acceptable.
Otherwise, touch

Load

and repeat the measurement.

Note: If your label size is the same length as the media feed, the new cut location will be
similar to the previous one. In this situation, you can increase or decrease the cut position
until at least 1/2” (13 mm) of solid media will enter the printer.
