Select a sensor type.

Continuous - Choose this option if you are using continuous media. No
further action is required, as continuous media does not require calibration.
Skip the remaining steps in this procedure.

Gap - Choose this option if you are using gap media.

Reflective (Bottom) - Choose this option if you are using reflective mark
media with the mark on the back of the media.

Reflective (Top) - Choose this option if you are using reflective mark media
with the mark on the front of the media.

Locate the media sensor adjustment knob.

Open the cutter cover and locate the sensor.

Turn the knob to adjust the position of the sensor. This position will vary based on
media type. The reflective mark or gap must be within .295” left or 1.725” right of
center to be detected by the sensor.

Reflective mark media (also called “cue mark” media) - Observe the location
of the reflective mark on the back of your label media. Position the sensor so
the mark will pass directly below it as media moves forward.

If the mark spans the entire label width, you can position the sensor anywhere
over the label.

Gap media - Position the sensor so the full horizontal gap on the front of the
label media will pass directly below it as media moves forward.

If there are no vertical gaps separating multiple-up labels, you can position the
sensor anywhere over the label.
